Who is responsible for this site

GOTRECA is operated by an individual based in Switzerland. See our Legal Notice for contact details and any privacy-related question or request.

What data is collected

1. Server and hosting logs. GOTRECA is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all websites, the underlying infrastructure automatically processes technical information for every request, including your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp. This happens as a normal part of serving the site and is handled by Vercel Inc. as our hosting provider. See Vercel’s own privacy documentation for details.

2. Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage (e.g., which pages are viewed, approximate country-level location, device type, referrer). As documented by Vercel, this analytics product does not use cookies and does not track you individually across visits or across other websites. Data is aggregated and used only to understand overall site usage — we cannot identify you personally from it. (If this ever changes — for example, if we switch to a different analytics tool that does use cookies or individual tracking — this policy will be updated accordingly, and a cookie consent banner will be added if required.)

3. No accounts, no payments, no forms. GOTRECA does not require registration or login, does not process payments, and (as of the date above) does not have any contact form, newsletter signup, or comment section that would collect personal information you submit directly. If that changes, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and why.

4. Affiliate / outbound links. GOTRECA does not currently show “Where to buy” or other retailer links, and does not currently participate in any affiliate program. If and when that changes, see our Affiliate Disclosure for details — outbound retailers may set their own cookies or tracking once you leave gotreca.com, which would be governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

Cookies

GOTRECA does not currently set any cookies of its own. The analytics tool in use (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless by design. This section will be updated, and a consent mechanism added, if that ever changes.

Legal basis and applicable law

The operator is based in Switzerland, so processing of personal data in connection with this site is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / revDSG). For visitors located in the European Economic Area, we aim to handle data consistently with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as a matter of good practice. Where personal data is processed (e.g., transient IP address handling for security and basic analytics), the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

International data processing

Because GOTRECA uses Vercel as its hosting and analytics provider, data may be processed on servers located outside Switzerland, including in the United States. Vercel provides its own safeguards for international data transfers (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) — see Vercel’s Data Processing Addendum and privacy documentation at vercel.com/legal for current details.

Data retention

We do not independently store personal data beyond what is retained in Vercel’s infrastructure logs and analytics for standard operational and security purposes. Refer to Vercel’s documentation for their current retention periods.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data relating to you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any such request, contact us using the details in our Legal Notice. Given the very limited personal data this site processes (essentially transient technical logs, not identifiable personal profiles), most requests will be handled by confirming what, if anything, is held.

Children's privacy

GOTRECA is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site evolves (for example, if analytics tools, affiliate programs, or contact forms are added). Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
